The rearview mirror is speckled with age, but it is original to the car, has seen many miles of entertaining driving unfold behind it and i have steadfastly refused to replace those memories. Purchased from a widow in arizona 8 years ago with the promise that the car would be restored to the utmost quality standards. This car is fast, lightweight and is completely trimmed in the finest leather. The crate had never been opened. Restoration costs alone topped $125,000. It's starts up immediately and runs flawlessly benefiting from a completely rebuilt motor. Yes, all the gauges and lights work. Mascot does not accompany purchase, but an extensive document collection does. Including the original owner's manual, wiring diagrams, original photos and 3-ring binders full of proper restoration guides from the triumph roadster club. The engine compartment is filled with all of the the factory original tools, jack and handle, tire pump, grease gun, original hand crank, extra petrol can, oiler, etc. All of which remain un-restored with the perfect patina. The triumph 200 roadster is the world's last rumble seat automobile [referred to as the dickie seats]. They are also trimmed in matching leather and have chromed plated elaborate hinges. The color is a 1957-59 reutter-bodied porsche color called auratium green; which is almost an exact color match to the triumph's factory green and is quite striking. They are a great group. Additional facts: the entire body is aluminum wrapped around a wooden sub-structure; with the exception of the front fenders which are steel. All the body panels are 'factory'. The floors are wooden as well. The dash board is veneered with many coats of high gloss varnish done by one of the best wood finishers on the country. The entire car is leather, even the door panels which utilize three different leathers. The door panels are a work of art in themselves. Since this was a frame-off restoration; every nut and bolt has been re-finished or replaced. I only own the finest cars in the the world, and this car is no exception.

The car had acosmetic restoration about 4 years ago by a local British car specialist shop atan expense of over ten thousand dollars which included fresh paint, chrome,seals and interior. The owner passed away shortly after buying the car and hiswidow had the shop finish the car to how her husband had wanted it. ThisSpitfire has had very little miles put on it since it was finished, nothing morethan taking it to local shows and now the widow is ready to let someone newenjoy it. The Body is straight and rust free with good door and bonnet fitment,the paint on the hard top has three scratches measuring around 4 inches inlength. The bright work is very nice and shiny with no pitting and was eitherreplaced or re-chromed. The glass is very good with no cracks or bulls eyes andthe lenses are new appearing, the window seals are new. The interior has new seatupholstery and foam, new panels including the doors, new carpet, new dash topand new walnut dashboard. The gauges all work but the rev counter is erratic. Theoil pressure and ignition warning lights function correctly going out as soon asthe engine fires up and all the lights and signals work. the clutch is light and the transmission shifts well. U carbs have been overhauled as well as the brake and clutch mastercylinder. I am selling this Spitfire for t.

I have had many of these cars and its rare to drive one as nice as this, the motor feels powerful and smooth and sounds great through the Monza Exhaust System, the Clutch engages correctly and the gear box shifts positive and smooth, feels fresh. The paint is very nice but has a few minor flaws that are hard to see in the photos but has no dings, dents or rust. The engine, transmission and rear end appear to have been recently rebuilt as well as the suspension front and rear and the brakes AM/FM
